From Sh*t Starter to Society Founder: Why I’m Speaking On It

For years, I’ve carried a title that usually makes people pause, chuckle, or clutch their pearls: "The Social Sh*t Starter or The Vocal Vagina".

It wasn’t a title I picked out of a hat. It was earned. It came from a refusal to accept the status quo. It came from being the person in the room who said the quiet part out loud—the person who wasn't afraid to disrupt the comfort of a meeting to address the reality of a problem.

But here is the truth about starting sh*t and being vocal: It’s only the first step.

Disruption without direction is just noise. Agitation without architecture is just chaos.

I realized that if I wanted to see the change I was shouting about, I had to do more than just start the conversation. I had to build the container for the solution.

The Evolution

That realization is how "The Social Sh*t Starter" evolved into the Founder and CEO of

The Social Ish Starting Society, Inc.

The "Inc." isn't just decoration. It represents structure. It represents a commitment to taking that raw, agitator energy and funneling it into sustainable programs, curriculum, and community building right here in Newark.

But even as a CEO, I haven’t lost my voice. In fact, I’m turning the volume up.

Why I’m Speaking On It

I created this blog, Speaking of Social Ish, because the journey from "disruptor" to "founder" shouldn't be a secret. Too often, the people doing the real work are too busy doing it to talk about how it gets done.

I am here to bridge that gap.

They call me "The Vocal Vagina" because I don't believe in silence, especially when it comes to the things that matter. On this platform, we are going to speak on the "ish" that defines our work:

  1. The Innovation: How we are using AI to reclaim and amplify our narratives, ensuring that technology serves the community rather than erasing it.
  2. The Institution: The unvarnished truth about running a nonprofit, securing funding, and navigating the red tape without losing your soul.
  3. The Impact: Real stories about the work we are doing in the West Ward and beyond.

The Mission

I am still a "Social Sh*t Starter" at heart. The only difference is that now, I have a plan, a team, and a Society behind me.

We are going to disrupt. We are going to initiate and we are absolutely going to speak on it.
